Donald Trump has decided to ban citizens of 12 countries from entering the United States to "protect" the country from "foreign terrorists," according to a document released by his White House staff on Wednesday.
This ban, which will come into effect on Monday, June 9, concerns Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.
At the same time, very strict restrictions will be imposed on the entry into the country of nationals of seven other countries (Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, Venezuela).
The ban on entry into the US imposed on citizens of 12 countries in order to "protect" the country from "foreign terrorists" and announced yesterday Wednesday by the White House was prompted by the attack committed in the state of Colorado, US President Trump said.
On Sunday, a man threw incendiary devices at people participating in a weekly march in a city in the state in support of Israeli hostages being held in the Gaza Strip. According to the White House, the alleged attacker was in American territory “illegally.”
