US President Donald Trump threatened on Sunday to order military action against the Colombian government, telling reporters that such an operation "sounds good to me."
“Colombia is very sick too, it’s run by a sick guy who likes to make cocaine and sell it to the United States, and he won’t be doing that for much longer,” Mr. Trump told reporters on Air Force One, apparently referring to his counterpart Gustavo Petro.
Asked specifically whether the US would conduct an operation against Colombia, Donald Trump did not give a clear answer, but said that the idea "sounds good to me."
This comment by the Republican followed the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in a raid in Caracas and his transfer to New York, where the Trump administration intends to bring him to trial for drug trafficking.
