Controversy with the Pentagon that wants American forces in the country
Donald Trump celebrated the withdrawal of ISIS from its last urban enclave in Syria, through his twitter account, while the Pentagon disagrees with its intention to withdraw US troops from the country.
A few days after Islamic State forces were defeated by Kurdish fighters from Hajin in Deir ez-Zor province, Donald Trump announced: "We have defeated ISIS in Syria." In fact, he was quick to point out that this was the only reason the US was present in Syria during his rule.
"We defeated ISIS in Syria, the only reason we were there during the Trump presidency," the US president wrote.

However, according to the New York Times, Donald Trump is considering withdrawing the approximately 2.000 US officers who have been in Syria for four years, trying to defeat ISIS. However, Pentagon officials disagree.
