Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will be briefed on his team's dialogue with US officials and will receive all documents related to the peace plan today, Ukrainian chief negotiator Rustem Umerov said.
In a post on Telegram, the secretary of Ukraine's National Security Council added that the primary goal of the Kiev negotiating team during the recent talks in the US was to receive a full briefing on the American talks in Moscow and all drafts of the current proposals.
"Together with all partners, we must do everything possible for a dignified end to this war," the Ukrainian official also noted.
Trump criticized Zelensky for "not reading" the peace proposal
US President Donald Trump criticized his Ukrainian counterpart on Sunday night, accusing him of "not having read" the proposal for a peace agreement that was presented three weeks ago and is the subject of separate talks between Washington and Moscow and Kiev.
"So we spoke to (Russian) President (Vladimir) Putin, we spoke to Ukrainian leaders—particularly Zelensky, President Zelensky—and I have to say I'm a little disappointed that President Zelensky has not yet read the proposal" from the US administration to resolve the war in Ukraine, Mr. Trump said when asked about it by reporters during an event in the US capital.
"This serves Russia, you know I think Russia would rather take the whole country," but "I'm not sure it serves Zelensky," Donald Trump also said.
Since the American plan was presented three weeks ago, rounds of talks have taken place with the Ukrainians in Geneva and Florida to modify the text to meet more of Kiev's demands.
The text was presented to Mr. Putin on Tuesday, when US envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the US president's son-in-law and adviser, visited Moscow.
Few details have been released about the revised plan. The original version of the text was seen by both Kiev and its European allies as too favorable to Moscow.
