An alarm has been raised at a bank in the western German city of Sinzing as a hostage situation is underway, German networks report. Heavy police forces are at the scene and the bank has been cordoned off.
According to initial reports, a man approached an employee outside the bank, threatened him, and forced him inside. At this time, authorities believe they are in the vault area.
A police spokesman announced: "We believe there are several perpetrators and hostages inside the bank. One hostage is the cash delivery driver. There is no danger to citizens outside the area that is blocked off."
