A top official of the Ukrainian intelligence service was found dead in his home on Saturday night.
According to local media, the unfortunate man was found dead by his wife in their apartment in the town of Kropyvnytskyi. The Ukrainian spy suffered gunshot wounds.
This is Oleksandr Nakonetsny, he was the head of the SBU, the spy agency of Ukraine, in the Kirovograd region.
Ukraine's attorney general's office confirmed Nakonetsny's death, while a police investigation into the incident has been launched.
According to a local politician, Andrei Lavrus, Nakonetsny committed suicide. This claim, however, has not been confirmed by the authorities.
