At least 198 Ukrainians, including three children, have been killed in a Russian-led invasion of Ukraine, the head of Ukraine's health ministry has said, according to Interfax news agency.
He said 1.115 people were injured, including 33 children.
It is not clear whether he was referring only to civilian casualties.
Meanwhile, the municipal authority of the northeastern city of Sumy announced that fighting is currently taking place in the city streets and called on the residents to stay in their homes.
