Spanish newspaper Marca reports that Diogo Zota lost his life, along with his brother, in a car accident in the Zamora region.
The 28-year-old Liverpool ace was travelling with his brother Andre when the car veered off the road and burst into flames. Both brothers died, local authorities said.
The accident occurred at the 65th kilometer of the A-52 highway, near the administrative district of Palacios de Sanabria.
