A - if nothing else - an original way was found by a University of the Netherlands to relieve students of stress and appreciate the beauty of life.
Redbud thought of opening some pits, which act as open graves, where students can experience a "cleansing" experience.
The project with the motto "memento mori" (mtf. Remember that you will all die) works as follows: the student enters the "grave", which is equipped - fortunately - with an exercise mat and a pillow. He can stay there for 30 minutes to three hours and it is forbidden to have mobile phones or books with him. The goal is to experience moments of inner peace coming in contact with the earth below and the sky above it.
"The end of life, death, is a taboo, a difficult topic of discussion for students. "It's very difficult to talk about death when you're 18, 19, 20 years old," said John Hawking, the creator of the idea.
