The US President has announced the resignation of his National Security Advisor HR McMaster and his replacement by John Bolton, former US Ambassador to the United Nations.
This development follows the replacement of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson by Mike Pompeo.
"I am pleased to announce that from 4/9/15 Ambassador John Bolton will be my new National Security Adviser. Thanks to General HR Macmaster for doing an excellent job and always remaining my friend. It will be officially handed over on 4/9 ", Donald Trump wrote on his Twitter.
