Convinced of Skopjan's solution by June, Khan

The European Union "is convinced" that the dispute between Athens and Skopje over the name of FYROM can be settled by July, EU Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn said today.

Asked in Sofia about the chances of resolving the dispute by the end of the Bulgarian EU presidency on June 30th, Johannes Hahn said he was "convinced".

Sofia is hosting an informal meeting of EU and Western Balkan foreign ministers.

Present in Sofia, Macedonian Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov noted that "there is still work to be done" before a compromise can be reached.
