The price of European natural gas increased by more than 5% on Monday, following Iran's decision to close the Strait of Hormuz.
During trading in Europe on Monday, the price of natural gas, a reference for Europe, TTF, increased by 5,04% to 40,74 euros per megawatt-hour at around 11:00.
It is noted that in morning trading in Asia, the price of TTF had reached 42 euros per Megawatt-hour, before falling lower afterwards.
Moreover, the price of British natural gas is increasing by 5,6%, to 102,4 pence per thermal unit, while American natural gas is up 1,8%, to $2,72 per million British thermal units.
