Sister Andre — known as Lucille Radon — the French nun who until today held the title of the oldest person in the world, died in the early hours at the age of 118, as announced by the nursing home where she was staying, in Toulon, southern France.

She was born on February 11, 1904. In recent years she was confined to a wheelchair and had lost her sight.

"They say work kills. Work kept me alive. I worked until I was 108 years old," he said in 2022.

It is worth noting that shortly before she celebrated her 117th birthday, she managed to defeat her Covid-19.
