If North Korea agrees to the complete abolition of its nuclear weapons program, the United States will allow its private sector to invest in the country, said US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
"Americans from the private sector should come to help build the energy grid, as North Korea needs large amounts of electricity," he told Fox News on FoxNewsSunday.
He added that the Americans would help invest in North Korea's infrastructure and rural economy to meet the nutritional needs of its people if the country meets the conditions set by the United States.
It is recalled that on Saturday Pyongyang announced the dates on which it will demolish its nuclear test plant.
A historic meeting between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is also scheduled for June 12 in Singapore.
