Pompeo: North Korea to destroy its nuclear program without delay

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said today that North Korea must commit to the immediate dismantling of its weapons program, noting that efforts to denuclearize Pyongyang are still in the "early stages" and the results remain "unknown."

"Right now, we have a unique opportunity to change the course of history on the Korean Peninsula. "I emphasize the word opportunity, we are in the early stages of work and the result is certainly still unknown," said Pompeo.

"One thing is certain. This government will not repeat the mistakes of the past. Our eyes are wide open. It's time to dump her and move on. "A bad deal is not an option.
