The Minister of Sports of the United Kingdom and the CEO of the Premier League are trying to persuade the footballers to be vaccinated with the two doses of the vaccine but also the "booster" so that there is no greater spread of the virus.
Not one, not five, but 19 games in the weekend program in England will not be played due to Covid cases in the clubs, as a result of which the investigation for the selection of a date to be held has already begun.
In the Premier League, the 18th game will be… half as only 5 of the 10 matches will take place normally with many teams having a problem with the Omicron mutation.
For this reason, the CEO of the League, Richard Masters, in a letter to all the teams, asked for all players to be vaccinated against Covid. In fact, in his message he stated that the unvaccinated should do both doses, while those who have already been protected with the double dose, should do the third as only this will be able to protect them from the new mutation.
At the same time, the Minister of Sports in the United Kingdom called for the players to be vaccinated, as he pointed out "the most important thing for everyone is health and only the vaccine will be able to protect us and our loved ones".
