Russia: 3-year-old girl dies of starvation while her mother was having fun

Maria Plenkina, 13, was sentenced by a Russian court to 21 years in prison for the horrific death of her three-year-old daughter last February. According to what was said in court, the 21-year-old left the small child alone for a whole week while she was having fun!

The 21-year-old, according to the court, left the 3-year-old alone without electricity or water and with only a little food while she was walking with her friends.

Police investigating the case testified that the 21-year-old confessed that she deliberately locked the doors and turned off the water supply in her apartment.

The unfortunate girl when she was found was naked having lost her life due to starvation after the yogurt, chicken and sausages left by the 21-year-old did not arrive. As it was told in court, the little boy was so hungry that he got to the point of trying to eat talcum powder.

The 21-year-old, who was deemed mentally fit to be referred to trial, calmly listened to the court decision without reacting.
