A man opened fire on civilians in downtown Malm., Sweden, injuring four people, three of them in critical condition.
Witnesses say 15 to 20 shots were fired, as well as people shouting that they should be taken to hospital as soon as possible.
The incident took place on Drottninggatan Road, which crosses the city center, near an internet cafe.
Witnesses reported that the perpetrator managed to escape from the spot by car. Police say the incident is not related to terrorism and reassure citizens that there is no reason to take emergency measures.
"The area has been cordoned off and we are taking statements from the injured, if they are able or willing to speak," said a local police spokesman.
