A major rescue operation is underway in the North Sea after an American oil tanker collided with a cargo ship off the coast of East Yorkshire.
The oil tanker Stena Immaculate and the container ship MV Solong – which is reportedly anchored off the Humber Estuary – are believed to be the ships involved.
The BBC reports that multiple sources claim that the tanker is on fire.
The Navy Lookout X account reported: "Search and rescue helicopters monitoring the oil tanker MV Stena Immaculate in flames after being hit by the container ship MV Solong while anchored off the Humber Estuary this morning."
