Chinese diplomacy confirmed that European Union leaders are expected in Beijing on Thursday for a bilateral summit, against the backdrop of the two trading partners' efforts to resolve a series of disagreements, especially in the field of trade.
"European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will travel to China on July 24. President Xi Jinping will meet with them. Premier Li Keqiang and the two EU leaders will co-chair the 25th China-EU summit," the Chinese Foreign Ministry said.
