The idea of a fan proposing to his girlfriend on the pitch in front of a crowd did not go at all as he expected.
It is now common for marriage proposals to be made on the pitch, whether by players or ordinary fans on the podium.
With that in mind, a baseball fan thought of proposing to his beloved on the court.
The proposal was made last Thursday at a Worcester Red Sox match in Worcester, Massachusetts, USA.
As can be seen in the video, which of course has gone viral now, a man has knelt in front of the stands and proposed to his girlfriend with a ring. While waiting for the answer and the crowd cheers, the woman looks shocked.
Suddenly he shakes his head and starts to leave the field quickly, while he hears him say "I have to leave".
