The Israeli army announced that it was carrying out a series of bombings in an area of Tehran, the capital of Iran, on the sixth night of the armed conflict.
According to an Iranian media outlet, loud explosions were heard and flames and smoke were seen rising in a district of the city.
About an hour earlier, an Israeli military spokesman warned residents of the X sector of the Iranian capital via Twitter to evacuate immediately, adding that operations would be carried out against military installations.
Meanwhile, the Israeli armed forces targeted Imam Hussein University in eastern Tehran, which is linked to the Revolutionary Guards, an elite corps of the Iranian army, Iranian news websites report.
Earlier, the NourNews news service reported that an explosion was heard in the eastern part of the Iranian capital, on the sixth night of the armed conflict between Israel and Iran, sworn enemies.
Moreover, the Revolutionary Guards, an elite corps of the Iranian armed forces, announced in the early hours of the morning that they had launched hypersonic missiles against Israel.
The Iranian army is conducting “the eleventh wave” of missile barrages as part of “Operation Honest Promise 3, using Fatah-1”, medium-range hypersonic ballistic missiles that were unveiled in 2023, the Guards said in a statement broadcast on state television, also claiming that Tehran has secured “full control of the airspace of the occupied territories”.
