US President Donald Trump said tonight that there could be progress in negotiations with Iran even this weekend.

"It might not happen," he told reporters at the White House, adding immediately afterwards: "It might happen over the weekend."

The negotiations "are going very well," he assured.

Regarding enriched uranium, he reiterated that he "wants it" and that the US "will go get it at some point" in the not-so-distant future.

The US president added that he would like to "separate" the talks on Lebanon from those on Iran and the opening of the Strait of Hormuz.
