The next moves of the United States on Syrian soil were announced by the American President.
Donald Trump said that "very soon" the US will withdraw from Syria.
"It's time to dump her and move on," said David Cook, chief of The Christian Science Monitor's Washington bureau.
Describing US operations against the Islamic State, the US President said that 100% of the caliphate would be occupied. "We will take it all back," he stressed.
Going a step further, apparently remembering his campaign commitments, he complained about the financial cost of operations in Syria, but also praised the US military's success against ISIS. "We must return to our country where we belong and where we want it to be," he concluded.
