Tragedy in Zambia: Elephant attacked a truck and killed an American tourist (vid)

Shocking video captured the moment one elephant 5 tons attacked a vehicle – safari in Zambia – tipping it over several times and eventually killing an 80-year-old American woman.

The woman was among six tourists in the group Wilderness Zambia who were on a forest wildlife excursion when they were attacked by the huge beast, the Telegraph reported.

"Around 9:30 on Saturday morning the six visitors were on the tour when the vehicle was unexpectedly attacked by the elephant.", its managing director said in a statement Wilderness Zambia, Keith Vincent.

The harrowing video recorded by a passenger shows the elephant charging towards their vehicle. The passenger continues to record as the animal rushes into the vehicle and overturns it.

The elderly woman later died from her serious injuries, while another woman remains in hospital in a critical condition.
