After Afrin, Turkey is also entering Iraq, according to Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoλοlu, who announced the next steps of Turkish operations against the PKK, saying that it would be done in cooperation with the Iraqi government.

The Turkish minister said that the operation in Afrin would be over by May. "There will be an operation across the border against the PKK in Iraq, we will do it together with the Iraqi government," he said, adding that they had agreed with Baghdad to do the operation after the May 12 elections in Iraq.

"We have the ability to do both operations at the same time, even if Operation Afrin does not end," said Mevlut Tsavousoglu.

For the former leader of the Syrian Kurdish organization PYD, Salih Muslim, the Turkish Foreign Minister said that the day before he went to Germany he was in Stockholm and Turkey had requested a note from Sweden for his arrest.
