Twitter Inc. has called on more than 330 million users to change the passwords on their pages because some of them have been stored in unencrypted texts on its internal network due to a malfunction.

According to the announcement, the research conducted by the company did not show any evidence that the codes had been stolen, but it appealed to all users to consider the possibility of changing them for precautionary reasons.

The social networking site did not specify how many of the codes were displayed in this way.
