A dramatic video showed the pilot and passenger of a small plane in Sydney, Australia, who emerged unharmed from a forced belly-landing.

The plane experienced a loss of power in flight, with the pilot making a dramatic plea to the control tower at Bankstown Airport in western Sydney:

“Help, help! Mechanical problem!” said the pilot and someone can be heard replying: “All runways are available. Signal received, help is coming."

Fire engines and three ambulances rushed to the airport shortly after 14pm local time on Sunday, but luckily no one was injured.

Dramatic video shows the plane scraping through rooftops and dodging treetops at the last minute before touching down on its belly on the runway.

For a few seconds the plane crawls, can be seen leaning on its right wing, before coming to rest on the lawn. As various people rush to the scene, the pilot opens the door and gets out, followed shortly by the passenger.

New South Wales Police patrol cars were at the scene, but the investigation into the cause of the plane's damage was taken over by the Australian Civil Aviation Authority.
