Israeli airstrikes on Hamas positions in the Gaza Strip

Israeli Air Force planes struck two Hamas positions in the Gaza Strip on Saturday night, with no reports of casualties, Palestinian security sources said. 

One of the targets in Rafa, in the southern part of the Palestinian enclave, was a unit of the Hamas military wing, according to the same sources. The other target you simply mention as an Islamic organization installation in the center of the pocket. 

"Warplanes hit military targets at a unit belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization in the southern part of the Gaza Strip," the Israeli military said in a statement. 

He did not confirm the second air raid.

The army statement said the bombings were in retaliation for a brief incursion by Palestinian protesters who returned immediately. 

At least 116 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire in Gaza since March 30, according to recent figures from the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
