With great success and intense emotional charge, the official opening of AnamnisisQR took place on Friday, July 11, 2025, in the elegant venue of Blue Charmar in the Mackenzie area, in Larnaca.
The event was held under the auspices of the Mayor of Larnaca, Mr. Andreas Vyras, who attended and delivered a moving speech. In his speech, he praised the innovative idea of the service and referred to his personal experience of visiting cemeteries, where he often wondered what story was hidden behind each photo. “It is extremely intelligent and humane to give life to memory, through this technological and deeply emotional proposal,” he noted.
The event was also honored by the presence of the Deputy Minister of Culture, Ms. Lina Kassianidou, who highlighted the importance of cultural imprint and the preservation of memory through technology. Also present were Members of Parliament, representatives of local government and other important personalities from the fields of culture, technology and business.
AnamnisisQR, created by Elena Aristodimou, offers an innovative digital memory service through QR codes that lead to dedicated pages for loved ones who have passed away. The service aims to connect the past with the present and the future, keeping the history of the people we loved alive.
The evening was not only a celebration of the launch of AnamnisisQR, but also a promise for a future where technology and memory will coexist with respect and humanity.
