The final decree was published today in the Official Gazette of the Republic, concerning the determination of measures, in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease COVID-19.
The decree is as follows:
1. This Decree will be referred to as the Infection (Definition of Measures to Prevent the Spread of the Coronavirus) COVID-19) Decree (No. 54) of 2020.
Establish measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease;   COVID-19.
2. Because the protection of public health and the health care system are the responsibility of the Republic and in order to limit the spread of Koronovirus disease COVID-19, the protection of public health, but also the prevention of possible collapse of the health system from any spread of the virus, taking into account the requirements in human resources and logistics that will be necessary to deal with the rapid spread of the virus and because it becomes necessary to take additional necessary measures, in addition to the Regulations issued with the Infectious Diseases (Definition of Measures to Prevent the Spread of Coronavirus COVID - 19), Decrees (No. 1) to (No. 53) of 2020, and without affecting those of those Regulations continue to apply, and
Because with a Notification published in the Official Gazette of the Republic, following the authorization of the Council of Ministers, the Minister of Health declared as infected local areas with the Koronovirus COVID-19 Pursuant to Article 4 of the Law on Dehydration, Chapter 260, the following Regulations are issued in the Districts of Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Famagusta and Paphos, until November 30, 2020 at 23.59 pm:
2.1 Regulation 2.2 of the Infectious Diseases (Definition of Measures to Prevent the Spread of the Coronavirus COVID-19) Decree (No. 39) of 2020, deleted and repealed.
2.2 Due to the urgent need to protect public health, resulting from epidemiological data and the rapid increase in the number of cases of the disease COVID-19, are prohibited until November 30, 2020 at 23.59 pm, mass events, gatherings, demonstrations, parades, concerts, outdoor festivals and festivals in public and private places:
It is understood that Regulations 2.6 (d) and 2.7 (c) of Infectious Disease (Definition of Measures to Prevent the Spread of Coronavirus COVID-19) Of Decree (No. 52) of 2020, continue to apply, provided that the activity does not fall under the provisions of this Regulation.
2.3 The first reservation of Regulation 2.1 of the Infectious Diseases (Definition of Measures to Prevent the Spread of the Coronavirus COVID-19) Decree (No. 53) of 2020, is deleted and replaced with the following new reservation:
"It is understood that employees as well as all persons falling into categories (i) to (xv) must have a negative Molecular Test (PCR), excluding categories (vi) for the patient and, if accompanied, his attendant , (xiv) and for persons of category (xv) only in cases where there are humanitarian and / or unforeseen reasons, which are recorded in the decision of the Minister of Health, valid for the last 7 days starting on Thursday, 19/11/2020 and time 05.00 am ".
2.4 Regulation 2.9 of the Infectious Diseases (Definition of Measures to Prevent the Spread of the Coronavirus COVID-19) Decree (No. 52) of 2020, is amended by deleting the dot at the end of this reservation and replacing it with the colon and adding, immediately after, the following new reservation:
"It is further understood that, in exceptional cases, the Competent Authority may approve a Special Permit for Public Health Reasons."
3. This Decree enters into force immediately upon its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic.
