The Tourism Development and Promotion Company (ETAP) of the Nicosia Region welcomes the awarding of the village of Fikardos, Nicosia district, as the best Christmas village 2022-2023.
According to an announcement by ETAP, the prize was awarded to the community of Fikardos as part of the Cyprus Hospitality Awards 2023, a new institution of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism that recognizes and rewards people active in the wide range of tourism and hospitality. It is noted that the awards include award categories in two main pillars, Hospitality Experience and Online Reputation.
It is added that the Christmas villages that are selected each year after a relevant notice of expression of interest by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism and receive the relevant quality mark, include entertainment events, stands with local products and handicrafts, workshops of wine and gastronomy and handicrafts, nature activities, guided tours, restaurants and accommodation in the wider area with festive menus and other experiences,
It is also mentioned that the Medieval Christmas village in Fikardos stood out, among others, for its unique theme and aesthetics, its hospitality and the rich artistic and cultural program, offering unforgettable Christmas experiences and securing the highest evaluation from over 150.000 visitors of.
