They will be increased this year as well child and single-parent family allowances due to the increase resulting from the payment of ATA. 

Who was paid yesterday Tuesday 31/1

Already yesterday, Tuesday 31/1, the first monthly allowances were paid to single parents with incomes up to €39.000in 2021 but also three-child and large-child families with declared incomes up to €49.000 the 2021.

For these categories the allowances are not given only once like the other categories but are paid in 12 monthly installments.

We contacted Mr. Giorgos Tsiappa, Head of the Child Benefit Section of the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare who gave us all the relevant information.

Regarding the child allowance for the other categories, Mrnor will applications be made this year from those who have been approved for 2022.  The provision of benefits will be automatically reviewed by the Welfare Benefits Administration Service. In the event that there has been any change in the data that affects their right to a benefit, applicants should inform the Benefits Management Service by submitting/sending the relevant Change of Data Form.

Payments are expected to be made within period end of April to end of May. In 2022 payments started after 15/5.

For those who will now apply for the first time, the application process will open on end of February to beginning of March. These applications are expected to be submitted as last year Online ONLY, through the Government Internet Security Portal (ARIADNI), from where citizens can easily and securely submit their application, through any device with internet access, 24 hours a day, 24 days a week. A necessary condition is the registration in ARIADNI and the identification of the citizens' profile in authorized centers or through i-banking.

It is emphasized that, for the purpose of examination of the application, it is mandatory for families applying for the first time, that the Authorization Form be completed and sent to the Welfare Benefits Administration Service in an original and printed form.

THE NEW INCREASED AMOUNTS

Child and single parent allowances are increasing this year due to ATA as follows:

The Annual Allowance for families is indicated based on the annual incomes of the previous year. The Allowance is paid per dependent child. That is, the amount is given for each child. 

Below is the amount of the allowance in 2022 and the amount that will be given in 2023. This year's amount is in bold

– Income from 0 – €19500,00:

  • 1 Child: From €496 >>> It increases to €537
  • 2 Children: From €595 >>>  €645
  • 3 Children: From €1092 >>> €1183 (paid in 12 months)
  • 4 Children or more: From €1750 >>> €1896(paid in 12 months)

– Income from €19.501 to €39.000,00:

  • 1 Child: From €444 >>>  €481
  • 2 Children: From €543 >>>  €588
  • 3 Children: From €1039 >>> €1126 (paid in 12 months)
  • 4 Children or more: From €1593 >>>  €1726 (paid in 12 months)

– Income from €39.000,01 to €49.000,00:

  •  1 Child: From €397 >>>>  €430
  •  2 Children: From €397 >>> €430
  •  3 Children: From €794 >>> €860 (paid in 12 months)
  •  4 Children or more: From €1.316 >>> €1426(paid in 12 months)

– Income from €49.000,01 to €59.000: (*The amount of €59.000 is increased by €5.000 per dependent child beyond two)

  • 1 Child: €0
  • 2 Children: From €360 >>> €390 
  • 3 Children: From €721 >>> €781 (paid in 12 months)
  • 4 Children or more: From €1.186 >>> €1285(paid in 12 months)

  • Income from €0 to €39.000

From €188 >>>> increases to €203 per month for each child

  • Income €39.000 to €49.000

From €167 >>> increases to €181 per month for each child
