Housing prices increased in the third quarter of 2021

After two consecutive decreases, in the first and second quarter of 2021, the Housing Price Index (CPI) increased in the third quarter of last year, on an annual basis, while they also increased compared to the second quarter of 2021, according to a preliminary estimate by the Statistical Service.

Specifically, the Housing Price Index (CPI) for the third quarter of 2021, is estimated at 106,55 points. Compared to the second quarter of 2021, the CPI increased by 2,4%, while compared to the corresponding quarter of 2020 it increased by 2,2%. The Index had decreased on an annual basis, in the first quarter of 2021 by 5,8 % and in the second quarter by 4,9%.

On a quarterly basis, the CPI showed a decrease of 5,8% in the first quarter of 2021, compared to the second quarter of 2020 and an increase of 1,2% in the second quarter of 2021 compared to the first quarter of the same year.
