Ayia Napa: Fire in an apartment - At the Hospital the owner

At 20.53, a call was received for a fire in a two-storey house in a residential complex in Ayia Napa.

The Famagusta Fire Station responded to Sergeant Adamou Adamou with 2 fire trucks and the fire was brought under control at 21.41.

The fire was extinguished by the owner before the arrival of the Fire Department. The Fire Service inspected and finally extinguished. The fire destroyed a sofa on the terrace of the house and extensive damage was done to small furniture inside the house, as well as the entire interior was damaged by smoke.

The owner was given first aid by the fire brigade and an ambulance was called to transport him to the Famagusta hospital, as he inhaled smoke in his attempt to put out the fire.

The cause of the fire will be investigated, in cooperation with the Police, which at first sight seems to have been caused by smokers.
