The Police arrested two 30-year-olds and a 25-year-old yesterday, to facilitate investigations, regarding the seizure of more than nine kilograms of cannabis, a quantity of cocaine and explosives, in Limassol, last August. For the same case, two other persons were arrested on August 3, 2024, while two others are wanted with judicial arrest warrants.
The investigation of the case began on the evening of August 3, 2024, when during investigations, carried out by members of the National Police, in the homes of a 26-year-old and a 31-year-old man, in Limassol, a quantity of cannabis with a gross weight of more than nine kilograms, a quantity of cocaine, a gross weight of 90 grams, 1021 firecrackers, five flares, two light hand signals (torches) and a sum of money of €5,890.
The 26-year-old and the 31-year-old were arrested while a case against them has already been registered at the Limassol Criminal Court and is under trial.
From the continuation of the examinations, at the end of August a testimony was obtained against a 26-year-old man, who is wanted on a judicial arrest warrant.
Subsequently, testimony emerged against four other persons. They are two 30-year-olds, a 25-year-old and a 36-year-old. The two 30-year-olds and the 25-year-old were arrested yesterday pursuant to court warrants and were taken into custody to facilitate investigations, while the 36-year-old is wanted.
