The filling of a total of 495 vacancies for first appointment was decided by the Council of Ministers, with the competent Ministries waiting for the green light from the Finance Committee of the Parliament in order to proceed with the announcement of the positions.
In particular, the Council of Ministers decided at its meeting held on 28/2/2019 the exemption from the ban on filling 400 vacancies of first appointment in various Ministries and 95 vacancies of first appointment in the Cypriot army.
According to the list submitted before the Finance Committee of the Parliament, which will consider the relevant request for release in its session, next Tuesday, these are the following positions:
* State Department of Shipping - six positions: Four positions of ship inspectors and two positions of Shipping officers.
* Ministry of Defense - 11 positions of technical engineers.
* Ministry of Agriculture - 46 positions: Two forest conservationists and three aircraft operators in the Forest Department, six executive engineers, three hydrologists, three chemical and three technical engineers in the Water Development Department, three technicians in the Geological Survey Department, three officers and eight inspectors in the Department, three inspectors and three inspectors in the Department. technicians in the Department of Environment.
* Ministry of Justice - three legal officers.
* Ministry of Energy - 16 positions: Five positions of Commerce officers, eight positions of Industrial Applications officers and three positions of assistant examiners in the Companies Registrar Department.
* Ministry of Labor - 25 positions: Eight positions of Welfare Benefit Management officers, two positions of Social Security officers and 15 positions of assistant insurance officers.
* Ministry of Interior - 65 positions: One position of civil engineer and two technical engineers in the Administration of the Ministry, 42 positions of clerks and 12 technical engineers in the Department of Land Registry, four positions of clerks and one position of graphic designer in the Press and Information Office and three positions of clerks in the Civil Defense.
* Ministry of Finance - 62 positions: Six positions in the Administration of the Ministry, nine positions of customs officials and 11 customs assistants, four positions of tax officials and 16 positions of tax assistants, four positions of statistical officers and 12 positions of officials in the Department of Public Administration and Personnel.
* General Administrative and Secretarial Staff - 70 positions of which 20 are for administrative positions and 50 for assistant secretaries.
* Ministry of Education - 27 positions of educational psychologists.
* Ministry of Transport - 69 positions: Two positions of architects, 13 positions of executive engineers and 40 positions of technicians in the Department of Public Works, six positions of Electronic Communications officers, two positions of inspection officers in the Department of Civil Aviation and six positions of technicians in the Department of Road Transport.
* Army - 95 positions of which 50 relate to second lieutenant positions and the remaining 45 sergeant positions.
Promotion positions:
At next Tuesday's session, the Parliamentary Finance Committee will also consider requests for vacancies that will be filled with promotions. Specifically, the THOC requested a position of secretary and the Judicial Service a position of Senior Registrar that will be vacated from April 17, 2019 after early retirement of its holder. Also, the Ministry of Energy requested the dismissal of three positions of Commerce Directors and one position of Officer A 'in the Company Curator Department
