The Israeli Internal Security Agency announced late Sunday night that for security reasons, it has ordered the airlines ELAL, Arkia and Israir to change the routes of all their flights to Cyprus, so that all their aircraft land exclusively at Larnaca airport. This directive will remain in effect until further notice, the statement added.
The Internal Security Agency's decision was announced to the Israeli media in a special statement issued by the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, while private television Channel 12, citing Israeli security officials, published on its website that the "security reasons that dictated this decision remain undisclosed."
