The President of the Republic Nikos Anastasiadis continues next week, January 24 - 30, important meetings with competent bodies for dealing with outstanding issues that have been identified in open issues.
An announcement by the Presidency states that President Anastasiadis is expected to give instructions for boosting important ongoing projects while the goal is "with determination, method and perseverance to find the best solutions to serve the economy, society and the Cypriot citizens."
On Monday, January 24, the issue of Akamas is on the agenda of President Anastasiadis. The meeting is scheduled to be attended by the Ministers of Interior and Agriculture and officials have been invited to participate, among others the Directors of the Departments of Land Registry, Urban Planning, Environment, Forests and Fisheries. The President of the Urban Planning Council will also be present.
A meeting on the opening of the energy market was scheduled for Tuesday, January 25th. The Minister of Energy, the Administrator of the Energy System and the Board of RAEK were invited.
Besides, on Friday, President Anastasiadis will be informed about the implementation of the decision to move the asphalt production plants from the place where they are today, near the residential area of Idali. The Ministers of Agriculture and Interior, the Head of Technical Services and the Directors of the Departments of Urban Planning and Environment will participate.
