DIKO MP Chrysanthos Savvidis opened fire on the Minister of Transport. It should be noted that this is not the first time that the MP from Paphos deals with the Minister, since in his statements on Radio Proto last week, Mr. Savvidis called Mr. Karousos Minister of Ayia Napa.
Chrysanthos Savvidis opened fire again against the Minister from the Front Page this time with Giannis Karousos answering the MP, saying that there are answers to what the MP attributes to him, and in fact with evidence, and he submitted these before the Parliament, from where Mr. Savvidis was absent according to the Minister.
Mr. Savvidis stated on the Front Page that the Minister of Transport is not only the Minister of Ayia Napa, but of the whole of Cyprus, provoking the intervention of Mr. Giannis Karousos.
The Minister in his intervention a little while later, stated that before the end of the work of the Parliament he made a presentation of the work of the Ministry of Transport.
"Unfortunately, Mr. Savvidis was absent and came to the end of the meeting."
He added that the biggest project concerning Paphos is for the road Polis Chrysoochous - Paphos. "A project that has been signed and its implementation has started and the local authorities have been waiting for it for decades."
He stressed that "anyone who has visited the port of Paphos will see the works done by the Ministry", while he added that work has begun on the local network for Petra tou Romiou.
Regarding the reports on the marina of Paphos, he replied that "every MP should know that the marina of Paphos is the responsibility of the Ministry of Tourism".
Finally, Mr. Karousos clarified that the Ministry of Transport has in its budget 120 million euros for projects in the Municipality of Paphos.
