A Facebook post by Panagiotis Salaforis, a communications officer at DISY, was enough to provoke a strong reaction from AKEL MP and spokesperson for the candidate, Stavros Malas, Irini Charalambidou.
As can be seen in the photo below, Mr. Salaforis posted a photo of Ms. Charalambidou, writing in the caption "this is how statements should be made, with a leopard boot out and a crooked chassis".
As expected, his post provoked a strong reaction from Irini Charalambidou, who responded by writing the following to Averof Neophytou:
"Dear Averoff, I'm sure that this vulgarity and sexism does not express you. It is sad that this is the identity of the people around you as communications officers and parliamentary associates. I hoped that your representatives could treat me with arguments and not in this sad way. At least people understand that we are not all the same. There are defining dividing lines. "But judging by the Parliament, there is a tradition in such behaviors", he wrote specifically.
