The Paphos Police arrested a 46-year-old man last night by virtue of a court warrant, following a complaint by an employee of the Turkish Cypriot Property Management Service in Paphos.
According to the complaint, the suspect yesterday called the Service at 11:55 and after introducing himself by name asked to be informed about who is responsible for the power cut in a specific Turkish Cypriot residence in Poli Chrysochous, where he lives with his wife. his family.
According to the complaining employee, the same person called the same number again a short time later and allegedly stated that because he considers the Service responsible for the power outage, he himself "will take his gun and go to Nicosia to kill the manager of the Service".
According to the press representative of the Paphos police department, Michalis Nikolaou, from the statements of the official management of Turkish Cypriot properties, it appears that the specific residence had been vacated since 2019 due to the death of its legal occupant and since then remained closed and not available to any beneficiary. As can be seen from the complaint, the suspect and his family have allegedly been staying illegally in the house for the last few days, hence the power cut by the Service.
