From January 1, 2023, the submission of applications for the new Plan to Support Pensioners with Low Incomes will begin.

As stated in a statement by the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare, following the recent approval by the Council of Ministers of the new Plan to Support Pensioners with Low Incomes, the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare clarifies that the applications that may be submitted in the period until December 31, 2022 will be examined in accordance with the existing Plan and should be submitted with the EEE5 application "Application for Pensioners' Allowance and/or Minimum Guaranteed Income" (gray application).

Also, the Deputy Ministry clarifies that pensioners who were beneficiaries until September 2014 and did not submit an application within the transitional period, i.e. until December 31, 2020, or submitted a late application, i.e. after January 1, 2021, will be able to do so again with the issuance of the new application for Low-Pensioner's Allowance from January 1, 2023.

It is also clarified that the submission of an application is not required from existing recipients of the Low-Pensioner Allowance, who will continue to receive the Allowance in the same way as it has been until now.

The Deputy Ministry states, finally, that in order to avoid inconvenience and since applications for the new Plan will be examined from January 1, 2023, the pensioners concerned are asked not to come to the Welfare Allowance Service Points for the specific Allowance. More details and the new application will be announced at a press conference on December 22, 2022.
