The human cells that appear to have been used by the Medical Center in Larnaca for various treatments came from five-day-old embryos.

These are specifically embryonic cells, which reproduce and can turn into any other type of cell in the body.

The cells appear to have been illegally administered to patients for various ailments.

The Center appeared to promise that they could treat, among other things, cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

Of course, there are no reliable data for this, as their use is prohibited in the European Union.

However, there are few studies on the subject and there is no clear picture. According to the information, the Center appears to have informed the patients and given them to fill out a consent form.

Of course, this does not absolve them of any responsibility, as lawyer Andreas Angelidis stated to Sigma. However, the customer may not be able to claim compensation. Unless, of course, he can prove that he has been cheated.

As for the state of health of these people now, no one knows.

According to Karolina Stylianou, the Center did not keep data on the subsequent course of the patients.

Most of them, we were told, are from abroad and are not being monitored for any health problems.

The cells appear to have come to Cyprus from a third country, with accompanying documents stating that they would only be used for research purposes.
