Two Greek frigates and two F-16s are being sent to Cyprus

Greece, following a decision by the KYSEA, is sending the frigate "Kimon" and another frigate to Cyprus, as well as two F-16s, as announced a short while ago by Defense Minister Nikos Dendias.

Greece is proceeding with the dispatch to Cyprus of the frigate "Kimon", as well as another frigate, which will carry the "Kentaurus" system, following a relevant decision by the KYSEA, as announced by the Minister of Defense, Nikos Dendias, a short while ago.

A pair of F-16 fighter jets are also being sent to Cyprus to assist in its defense against the threats it faces.

The Minister of Defense added that for better coordination of Greece's actions with the Republic of Cyprus, he and the Chief of the National Defense General Staff will travel to Cyprus tomorrow.

Nikos Dendias will be received by the President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides.
