The Electromechanical Services Department informs the consumer public that it has identified products on the market that do not comply with the basic safety requirements of the Low Voltage Electrical Equipment (LVD) directive, since they involve substantial safety risks for the user. Therefore, the manufacturer has voluntarily withdrawn them from the market.
Anyone who knows a point of sale of such products or needs additional information or clarifications is requested to contact the Department of Electromechanical Services on the telephone numbers 22800514 and 22800522 or at the e-mail address: director@ems.mcw.gov.cy or at the fax number 22348202.
Licensed electricians in possession of the above products are requested not to use/install them and return them immediately to the seller, i.e. the store from which they were purchased.
