Archbishop: Those who confuse religion with medicine make a mistake

"Everyone must respect the body, himself, but he must also respect his fellow human beings"

ARCHBISHOP OF CYPRUS 3rd installment, Archbishop, vaccine, Science, Religion

Those who confuse religion with the science of medicine are making a mistake, said today the Archbishop of Cyprus, Chrysostomos II, who again called on all citizens to be vaccinated.

In his statements, after his vaccination with the third dose of vaccine, which took place in the presence of the Minister of Health, at the State Exhibition in Nicosia, Archbishop Chrysostomos said that out of respect for himself and the rest of the world, he was vaccinated with the third dose, inviting everyone to get the vaccine, since the Apostle Paul has taught the world how to take care of his body.

As the Archbishop of Cyprus added, quoting the words of the Apostle Paul, "the body is a temple of the Holy Spirit and he who leaves the body to wear will be worn by God, will punish him."

"And these things said the Apostle Paul. "This is what the church teaches and exactly everyone must respect the body, himself, but he must also respect his fellow human beings," he said.

He went on to say that someone who does not try to avoid the disease and will get stuck will transmit it to others, so it is imperative that all people, young and old, get the vaccine, so that the disease goes away as soon as possible. place and the people to re-integrate into their daily lives.

For those who think and confuse religion with the science of medicine, the Archbishop continued that "they make a mistake", to add that what he says are written and are in the New Testament and are not his words.

"What the others say, saying that the Holy People said it, they did not say. "They are their own words and they must not make fun of the people", the Archbishop emphasized emphatically.

For his part, the Minister of Health, Michalis Hadjipandelas, said that the Archbishop of Cyprus "once again gave the message that the only way to overcome this virus is vaccination."

"The message he gave to the world was clear," he said.

He once again called on the people who have not been vaccinated to do so, saying that "those who have not received the first dose should come to the Free Attendance Centers and be vaccinated".

He finally said that "the only way to get rid of this virus is clear and let's take advantage of it, because there are vaccines available for the whole world".
