In a written statement, the President of DISY Averof Neophytou referred to the case of the death of Thanasis Nikolaou, apologizing to his mother.
The statement as it is
I express my public apology to this mother who suffered and persisted for years, who put up with the system on her own.
We have a duty to apologize for a process of extermination that does not help the citizens, it is not on the side of the impossible. To apologize for the delayed delivery of Justice and to commit, together with the entire political system, to the last time such an unjust process takes place.
The only way to do this is to reform for the speedy delivery of justice.
I call on all parties to take the bill out of the drawers, to agree on its basics and to vote together, unanimously, on the reform of the Judiciary.
