The Police in Limassol are investigating a kiosk robbery case. The perpetrator is said to be a 27-year-old man, against whom an arrest warrant is expected to be issued.
According to the Police, the robbery was committed at 23.35 last night. Based on the complaint and the information under investigation, a young man, half naked from the waist up entered a kiosk and began grabbing products from the shelves, some of which he put down his pants.
When the man attempted to leave the kiosk, the employee locked the door in an attempt to prevent the theft. Then the 27-year-old allegedly attacked him and hit him with a plastic rod. He then managed to unlock the door and while leaving allegedly also stole three cartons of cigarettes from a shelf next to the cash register.
Members of the Police arrived on the spot for investigations. From the investigations and interrogations that followed, testimony was secured against a 27-year-old man, against whom an arrest warrant is expected to be issued.
