Members of the Police (OPOD Headquarters), while conducting traffic controls (last night - early today), stopped a car on the Nicosia - Larnaca highway, which was traveling at a speed of 182 MPH instead of 100, which is the permitted limit.
From the tests that followed, it was found that the driver of the vehicle was a young man, aged 18, who was arrested for an unprovoked crime.
The 18-year-old was taken to a Police Station, where he was charged in writing and released, to be summoned before a Court later.
